Job Description
Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance tasks of Washington, DC campus – HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and light electrical work. Qualified candidates must be able to pass a government background for this position and hold a current HVAC certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC and routine maintenance tasks for school campuses
- Tasks included but are not limited to - changing filters for HVAC units, troubleshooting, replacing seals for plumbing systems, drywall repair, replacing of outlets, paint, and general clean-up
- Complete reporting and communicate with building management
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Inspect and perform equipment maintenance and repairs
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 6 years HVAC or related Building Engineer experience
- Previous experience with tabulating and soliciting bids
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on average throughout shift and maneuver in a variety of ways to achieve tasks
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen (this position specifically)
- Must have a current HVAC certification
- Possess tools of the trade
- Possess reliable transportation to report to client's sites
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and communication through e-mail
