Drywall Taper

Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare drywall for painting, plastering, etc.
• Ensure walls and ceilings have a smooth surface.
• Fill nail and screw holes, joints, and other imperfections.
• Apply tape covering drywall seams with paper or fiberglass mesh tape.
• Smooth and apply finish compound.
• Patch and repair damaged drywall, replace ceiling tiles, etc.
• Cut metal framing and trim to size.
• Install horizontal and vertical metal studs to frames so that wallboard can be attached to interior walls.

Qualifications & Experience

• - E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S.
• - Minimum 18 years of age
• - Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites preferred.
• - In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area.
• - Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site.
• The hourly rate for this position is $33 - $36/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
