Job Description
Peopleready Skilled Trades is looking for a Drywaller in San Diego! As a Drywaller with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support a large network of contractors throughout San Diego. In this Drywaller role, you’ll earn $29 – $32 an hour Payrates will vary depending on position and experience, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. You can also earn up to a $1,500 bonus as part of our Respect the Craft tradesperson recognition program!

Responsibilities
- Reading design plans in order to provide minimal wallboard to avoid unnecessary waste of materials
- Measuring and marking cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim using tape measure, straightedge, or square, and marking devices
- Identifying the exact locations of windows, electrical outlets, and plumbing, and then cutting the drywall or ceiling tile to fit the precise size needed
- Cutting drywall to the right size, using utility knives and power saws
- Fastening drywall panels to interior wall studs, using nails or screws
- Installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Filling joints, holes, and cracks with compound, using a trowel and broad knife
- Trimming and smoothing rough edges so boards join evenly without visual defect
Qualifications & Experience
- - Trade tools Required
- - 3 years minimum experience - reference required
- - There is no minimal educational requirement, but specialized training in your trade is preferred
- - Experience on commercial, industrial, or residential construction sites preferred
- - Verifiable work history that shows professional skills and experience
- - Strong work ethic and safety oriented
- - Some assignment have additional screening requirements, such as background checks and/or drug tests
