The Electrical Control Technician will configure various CNC manufacturer equipment. The engineer will manage and work with other technicians, wiremen, and engineers to scope the project, design the system, create bill of materials, program, install and test the system at the customer site. Service of machine tool equipment will also be a function of this position.
Ability to assist in start up and testing procedures
Ability to assist in electrical engineering design
Ability to utilize all printers and shop equipment
Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math.
Ability to use hand tools-screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.
Perform layout and drill out to back plates and enclosures
Basic knowledge of electricity.
Assemble electrical parts to back plates and enclosures
Stock electrical parts to job shelves
Basic wiring to small ops and terminal boxes
Perform layout measurements and drill out procedures to back panels and enclosures
Installation of electrical BOM and assembly of back plates & enclosures
Make mark tube, stickers and labels for back plates and enclosures
Understand the wire sizing to amp draw and wire color for certain voltages.
Basic knowledge of electrical - 24vdc and 480vac
Ability to preform prewire technician and cable duties
Perform quality assurance.
Organize electrical parts to job shelves
Excel in reading tape measure and perform math skills.
Excel in tool usage and understanding.
Ability to assemble and install electrical components.
Good knowledge in electrical control theory
Ability to perform Input / output trouble shooting techniques
Ability to perform motor control and start up testing.
Exhibit team leader skills
Excel in electrical drawing understanding
Excel in electrical layout & drill out procedures
Excel in electrical control wiring theory
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in construction field of some sorts
- Electrical course of some kind
- At least 2 years of industrial controls experience preferred.
