Responsibilities
Hours: 12-hour shifts starting at 7 am and 7 pm.
Contract Instrument Technicians shall have experience in calibrating pressure, level, and temperature 4-20ma control loops, including transmitter or switch removal, replacements, re-installation, and testing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Be at least 21+ years of age
- Current/Active Journeyman Electrician
- -Position Requirements:
- To be considered for this position the individual must have at least five years of industrial plant experience in the repair and maintenance of high-voltage equipment and electronic instrumentation/control systems along with a High School diploma and a valid Driver’s License.
- -Must have an electrical journeyman’s license or strong apprentice training experience.
- -Basic understanding of power plant fundamentals to include boiler and turbine operation, ash handling equipment, and pollution control equipment.
- 1.PLCs
- 2.VFDs
- 3. Crane electrical controls
- 4. Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) maintenance and troubleshooting components/analyzers
- 5. Control valves, damper drives, and process control transmitters, electronic and pneumatic controls calibration and maintenance
- 6. MCC Controls
- 7. Relay logic
- 8. Process loop controller’s system
- 9. Test, troubleshoot, and PM various types of motors
- 10.P&IDs, schematics, and equipment manual for electrical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
- 11. Computing skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the industrial field is required
- The position will require a drug screen
