Overview

Responsibilities

·         Operate heavy equipment used in construction, environmental services, and remediation activities.

·         Read and understand grade stakes for grade checking and alignment using GPS, lasers, levels and string line

·         Comply with all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

·         Maintain and properly use all equipment. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to manager.

·         Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and exposure to adverse weather conditions.

·         Knowledge and operation of various GPS systems is a plus

Qualifications & Experience

• · High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• · Excavator Certification required
• · Experience performing demolition activities is a plus.
• · Ability to excavate safely around underground utilities such as electric, gas, water, sewer and communication.
• · Able to read and understand project-related documents in the English language
• · Has reliable transportation to/from the job site.
• · Ability to repeatedly lift 50lbs throughout shift
