Job Description
HVAC service technicians working on new construction apartment complexes, installing indoor air quality systems. Skilled with cleaning, adjusting and repairing ventilation systems.
Responsibilities
- nstalling, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 years in the field experience or 2 years HVAC tech school HVAC training
- Must be well-versed in multi-residential/commercial projects and equipment
- Experienced using all types of hand tools and power tools
- Working knowledge of boiler systems
- Understanding principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
- Experienced with balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
- Experienced reading schematics
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Must have own tools of the trade
