IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT! For CT Licensed Journeymen Sheet Metal Installer Needed!
Are you licensed in the State of CT as a SM1 or SM2? Are you looking for competitive pay? Commercial work?
PeopleReady is looking for dedicated Sheet Metal Installers at the journeyman level to be on our team. HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will fabricate, build, and install various types of metal structures and equipment for facility maintenance and installation programs. Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed. Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength. Cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions.

Responsibilities
· Maintain Active CT – SM License
· Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
· Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
· Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
· Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
· Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal installation.
· Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs.
· Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- • Minimum years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; equivalent military, commercial or industrial experience may substitute.
- • Active CT- SM License
- • Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- • Ability to perform inspections and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications.
- • Knowledge of low-pressure boilers, chilled water production units, compressors, turbines, generating
- • units and water systems.
- • Ability to repair and/or replace building mechanical systems components, including programmable logic
- • controls, control valves, sensors, etc.
- • Requires heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
- • Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines.
- • Working knowledge of refrigerants and refrigerant recovery.
