Job Description
Hiring Journeymen and Apprentice painters for projects out of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. They work on both repaint/restorative projects and new construction paint projects of steel and concrete of industrial buildings. You will need all own tools hand tools. This will be steady, ongoing work.
Numerous projects/locations. Some hours will be from 7am – 3pm, working 10hr days, working nights at one of the resorts. Must have quality spray coating painting experience.
Responsibilities
- Applying various finishes to equipment, buildings, bridges, or other structures
- Applying primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats
- Mixing colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency
- Using airless or conventional sprayers
- Brush and roll
- Familiar and experienced with different types of paint – oil bas, lax
- Familiar with stain millwork & doors
- Masking
- Sanding millwork
- Sandblasting
- Spray coating
- Cut – in (corners & Tops)
- Handle jobsite preparation and cleanup
- Build scaffolding and use dropcloths or tape in order to clean paint spills, dust from sanding, and other materials
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years experience commercial painter
- Experience with exterior painting, brush and roll + spray coating
- Reliable transportation to and from different jobsites
- Tools of the trade and the ability to bring them to the jobsite
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time and able to occasionally lift and move 20 pounds
