As lift spotters, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe operation of lifting equipment. Your role is crucial to preventing accidents and ensuring the smooth functioning of lifts as they move up, down, and around. Responsibilities
- Maintain constant vigilance over lifting equipment to prevent collisions with objects during operation.
- Communicate effectively with lift operators to guide them safely around potential obstacles.
- Monitor lift movement, clearance, and equipment performance to prevent incidents.
- React quickly and decisively to any signs of equipment malfunction or unsafe conditions.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Remain on your feet throughout the workday to ensure thorough equipment monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a lift spotter or in a similar safety-focused role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay alert during repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to convey instructions and warnings effectively.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and move around the work area.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety regulations and guidelines.
