Job Description
PeopleReady is hiring for Structural Welders to support a large government contractor at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton WA. We are currently placing both local and non-local Welders. You can earn $29.00 – $30.00 per hour along with $166 per diem and overtime will be available.

Long- Term Contract with large government contractor
- Possesses standard tools for a welder.
- Able to work different shifts.
- Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces.
- Must have knowledge of weld symbols.
- Must pass HY-80 Pipe Test 6G (SMAW)
- Must pass Flux-core HY 80 test.
- Must pass Aluminum Plate test.
- Tack weld 11018 (SMAW).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely hook up and operate a torch.
- Must have knowledge of WAFs
- Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.
Qualifications & Experience
- Typically requires 5-10 years related experience.
- Experience working in the marine welding/fitter trade gained through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of welding standards of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and/or FCAW welding procedures.
- Skill to make complete penetration and complete fusion welds.
- Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
