Overview

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding machines to grind metal workpieces.
• Remove finished workpieces from machines and place them on racks or carts
• Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts.
• Remove and replace worn or broken machine parts, using hand tools.
• Dress grinders, according to specifications.
• Use Orbital Sanders
• Perform as needed body work using bondo or glazing putty.
• Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; stop machines when problems occur.
• Clean and maintain work area

Qualifications & Experience

• 1-3 years experience in a similar role required
• Ability to work 50-55 hours per week
• Must have all of your own tools and the ability to bring them on site
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the day to perform aspects of grinding/sanding tasks.
• Frequent bending and twisting at a medium pace to access physical areas of the product.
• Constant reaching to perform grinding, use hoist, and operate machines.
• Occasionally lift up to 50lbs up to 42'' high at a distance of up to 10'.
• Must use overhead hoist for large workpieces over 50lbs.
• Drug Screen required
