Panel Installer

Overview

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare prefab sound dampening panels for application.
• Hang or mechanically fasten support wires for acoustical ceiling grid from building structure.
• Hangs dry lines (stretched string) to wall molding to guide positioning of main runners.
• Use various hand tools including screw gun and levels for installation of brackets, clips, fasteners, and adhesives.
• Screws molding to wall to support and seals joint between ceiling tile and wall
• Apply panels to mounting surface and ensure panels are level.
• Must be comfortable working on lifts and ladders while installing panels as needed.
• Follow and adhere to safety and fall protection guidelines.
• Maintain job site by cleaning, scrapping, moving material, tools, or equipment.
• Installer has to be able to work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, stilts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must have valid driver’s license
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand as well as power tools
• Must have the ability to move quickly and work efficiently
• Must have a “Can Do” attitude
• Must be able to pass background check
• Physical Demands of Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this job, must be able to move material and stand during the day. Involves reaching above shoulder and at shoulder height with the weight of panels and various tools (10-15 lbs.) on a regular and constant basis. Required to be able to operate power tools and read a tape measure and instructions.
