Responsibilities

  • Clean out and remove all trash and obsolete building components from apartments before, during, and after renovation activity.
  • Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Prepare the floor surface for the installation of new flooring.
  • Replace apartment finishes as needed which may include: The installation or repair of cabinetry, countertops, doors, trim, appliances, lighting, hardware, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
  • Inspect units at completion of renovation for appropriate operation and quality control, and remedy as necessary for appropriate make-ready conditions.
  • Always maintain safe working conditions.
  • Perform a wide variety of general maintenance repairs, work orders, turns, and renovation services to apartments, commercial, and retail properties.
  • Performs other unit and non-unit related projects as required and assigned.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have Right to Work documents to work in the US.
  • A valid driver’s license, transportation, and car insurance are required. Will be traveling to multiple sites with on-site parking.
  • Experience with light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repair is required.
  • One (1) year of maintenance and repair experience is required for residential, retail, or commercial property management.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multi-task, and organizational skills.
  • Required knowledge and technical skills associated with light carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and general installations or repairs associated with the turning process and punch-outs.
  • Work requires flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Must own basic hand tools. Tool bag, hammer, tape measure, cat’s paw, crowbar, utility knife, pliers, or dykes, 5 in 1 screwdriver, carpenter’s pencil, and work boots. We provide all PPE needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Bend, twist, kneel, and stand during entire shift or task.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
