Responsibilities
- Cleaning, sanding, and patching surfaces (walls, ceilings, siding) to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Removing old paint, mildew, or wallpaper as needed
- Masking or covering furniture, floors, windows, trim, and fixtures with drop cloths or plastic
- Taping off areas not to be painted, such as outlets, baseboards, and ceilings
- Setting up and testing the paint sprayer for proper pressure and spray pattern
- Cleaning and maintaining the sprayer daily to prevent clogs and ensure consistent performance
- Mixing paints to ensure uniform color and consistency
- Matching paint colors to customer specifications or existing surfaces
- Applying even coats of paint using a sprayer, ensuring smooth, drip-free coverage
- Managing overspray and working efficiently to avoid runs or patchy areas
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirators, gloves, and coveralls
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years' verifiable experience in the trade
- Experience with interior and exterior painting
- Experience using spray machines
- Tools of the trade and the ability to bring them to the jobsite, including a 5 in 1 tool and painter's whites
- Reliable transportation to and from different jobsites
- Background check and MVR required
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
