Job Description
As a Router Operator with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support a sign manufacturing company in San Antonio, TX. You will set up, operate or tend to routing machines. In this temporary to permanent opportunity, you’ll earn $20-$24 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, and health insurance benefits. Responsibilities
- Start Machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly
- Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings or work orders.
- Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified operations
- Monitor operation of machines and make adjustments to correct problems
- Ability to select the correct tool according to workpiece, machine function and production specifications
- Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, and conformity to specifications and verify dimensions
- Remove and replace worn parts, bits, belts, and tools
Qualifications & Experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work 50-55 hours per week
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable
- accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Understand how and have the capability to use a measuring tape
- Must have all of your own tools and the ability to bring them on site
- Capable of handling numerous sheets and materials
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
- Drug screen is required
- Background check is required
