Job Description
PeopleReady is hiring for Shipyard Supervisors for a long term project at NNSY in Portsmouth. This position requires and Active Security Clearance. A supervisor oversees and participates in repairs and improvements to facilities and ships as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and prioritizes work done inside the shipyard
- Maintains paperwork as necessary for the operation of the carpentry department (may include time sheets, purchase orders, work orders, etc.).
- Supervises marine electricians or pipefitters to ensure safety and quality in the performance of assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- The Supervisor position requires 5 years of experience as a supervisor in repair and maintenance efforts onboard U.S. Navy ships in a related trade (pipefitting or electrical) skill.
