Job Description

As a Skilled Concrete Form Carpenter with People Ready Skilled Trades, you’ll support a network of concrete contractors in Waverly, IL on a new construction, commercial project. In this short-term position, you’ll earn $22-$26 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities

Hours: 8hrs

Start time: 7am

Tying rebar

Setting footing

Build and set forms out of wood, metal, Symon Doka, EFCO, MEVA, etc. as well as hand built forms

Pouring concrete

Strip forms after concrete is set

Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order

Perform semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment

Feel comfortable working off ladders and scaffolding

Be able to lift up to 50lbs and comfortable working in weathered conditions and on all feet all day

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years form carpentry experience on large scale, commercial projects
  • Construct, erect, repair forms
  • Be reliable and self-motivated
  • Possess required tools of the trade, hammer, reels, lines, pliers, tape measure, tool belt and concrete apron
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic
  • Have the ability to read prints to build forms
  • Experience working with hand tools and power tools
