Job Description
As a Solar Electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades you will complete an array of electrical tasks to secure electrical connections for large conductors commonly found in solar power systems. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical principles and possess the necessary skills to safely work with high-voltage equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform compression terminations to secure electrical connections for conductors that will carry a significant current for Solar Installs.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams to understand project requirements, planning, and design.
- Connect wiring from panels to the inverters or combiner boxes and ensure all connections are secure and complaint with local codes.
- Ensure proper grounding of the solar system to prevent electrical shock and protect against weather related damage.
- Properly label all electrical components and document as required for electrical inspections.
- Diagnose and repair any related electrical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe installation.
Qualifications & Experience
- JM License; Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard construction practices; Clear understanding of OSHA Procedures; Ability to read and understand electrical (single & three line) diagrams; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 strongly preferred; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The hourly range for this position is $35-40/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
