Job Description
The Solar Installer performs a variety of skilled labor tasks to include the assembly, set-up and maintenance of PV systems. These systems; once installed, convert sunlight into energy. If you are experienced or looking to gain experience & knowledge in the solar industry, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules
- Connecting installed solar panels to existing electrical systems and checking electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or integrity of terminations
- Organizing and maintaining system components
- Maintaining documentation of completed installations
- Applying weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms
- Completing labor-intensive work in various weather conditions
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in construction.
- Mechanical aptitude; able to us a variety of basic hand tools to include, hammer, cordless drills, and wrenches.
- Able to stand for long periods of time & have the physical dexterity to lift 50lbs consistently throughout the day.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from site daily.
- OSHA Certified or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
