Job Description
As a Stick Welder with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support local electrical contractors in the Saint John’s, Florida area. In this contract-based role, you’ll earn up to $26 an hour based on experience and skillset, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities
· Heating, cutting, bending, and installing sometimes very large metal components for structural work
· Ability to work with rods, beams and trusses that are used in bridges, skyscrapers and highways
· Iron workers build and install columns, girders, and structural frameworks out of iron and steel
· Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
· Cut, grind, and weld metal to shape it to specific parameters
· Install steel bars in concrete to structurally reinforce it
· Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations, and wear proper protective gear while working
· Use extreme attention to detail with every task performed
