Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Install, replace, and adjust weather stripping on exterior and interior door frames

Adjust, repair, or replace door sweeps to ensure proper fit and effective sealing

Inspect door alignment, hinges, thresholds, and frames; make necessary corrections

Identify and correct air, light, and moisture gaps around doors

Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to perform finish-quality work
-
Read and follow work orders, plans, and manufacturer specifications

Maintain a clean, safe job site and protect finished surfaces
-
Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, or facility staff regarding findings and completed work

Responsibilities
Journeyman Carpenter status or equivalent experience
Minimum 3–5 years of professional carpentry experience, with demonstrated finish or service carpentry skills
Proven experience installing weather stripping and adjusting door sweeps and hardware
Strong understanding of door systems, thresholds, seals, and building envelope basics
Ability to troubleshoot fitment issues and execute precise adjustments
Proficient with standard carpentry hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work including kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in occupied commercial or residential buildings
Familiarity with energy efficiency or weatherization standards
The hourly rate for this position is $30 - 35/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
