Job Description

Are you a motivated and reliable individual with experience in warehouse operations? We’re seeking a Distribution Specialist / Heavy Equipment Forklift Operator to join our growing team in a climate-controlled facility. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the chance to work with lumber and wood products in a hands-on warehouse and distribution role—with company benefits available after 6 months of permanent conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll:
  • Safely load and unload trucks and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Receive, verify, and inspect incoming materials, ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Perform quality control inspections on shipments and outgoing orders.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training and certification provided if needed).
  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
  • Support woodworking tasks such as sanding, cutting, and milling when required.
  • Occasionally assist with local deliveries and use company systems to process orders and manage inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for candidates with:
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED (vocational or technical school is a plus).
  • Shipping and receiving experience (required).
  • Forklift experience (preferred; certification can be obtained on the job).
  • Basic math skills and the ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Prior woodworking experience (preferred but not required).

  • Tools Required: Standard hand and power tools provided.
  • Environment: Climate-controlled warehouse facility.
  • Local Travel: Occasional local deliveries may be required.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
