Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for experienced spray painters for a yacht company in Honolulu, HI. This is a contract job for about 3 months or longer. We are looking for EXPERIENCED Spray Painters in the commercial yacht/boat industry or automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Surface preparation: Cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to be painted.
- Paint mixing: Selecting and mixing paint colors according to project specifications.
- Spray application: Applying paint using a spray gun, ensuring even coverage and avoiding drips or runs.
- Quality control: Inspecting painted surfaces for defects and ensuring proper finish.
- Equipment maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray guns and other painting equipment.
- Safety compliance: Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Reading blueprints: Understanding project plans and specifications.
- Touch-up work: Addressing imperfections and applying additional coats as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of spray painting experience on commercial yachts or boats. Candidates with automotive experience will be considered as well.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.00-$35.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
