Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for experienced Marine Electricians. Must have shipyard/yacht experience. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Competitive pay from $28-$32.00 an hour DOE.
Responsibilities
- Repair or replace wiring equipment or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
- Examine electrical system of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, like ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to confirm compatibility and safety of system
- Use different types of tools or equipment, like power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, like oscilloscopes, ammeters, or check lamps
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to put in, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Diagnose faulty systems, apparatus, or parts, using equipment and hand tools to find the reason for a breakdown and correct the problem
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or parts to spot hazards, defects, or the necessity for adjustment or repair, and to confirm compliance with codes
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to see the placement of wiring or equipment, and to confirm correspondence to assembling and safety codes
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
- Experience using various hand tools, including calipers and ohmmeters, for precise measurements and diagnostics.
The hourly rate for this position is $28.00-$32.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
