Job Description

As a Commercial Electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support our customers on potential commercial and residential projects located in Columbia, TN and surrounding areas. Responsibilities

Hours: 5 X 8's

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to plan and execute high-quality commercial electrical installations
Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control, and lighting systems for commercial buildings and projects
Troubleshoot electrical systems and components using proper testing devices and technical reasoning
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, apprentices, and other trades to meet timelines and maintain worksite efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work environment with strict adherence to OSHA and company-specific safety protocols
Ensure all work is performed to NEC standards and local jurisdiction requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Be at least 18 years of age
Have 4 or more years of proven experience as an Electrician
Ability to bend, run, and strap conduit and PVC using hand, electric, and hydraulic benders
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
Proven ability to lead lower level electricians and work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working at heights, off arial lifts, in confined spaces, and in fast-paced jobsite environments
Have tools of the electrical trade and bring them to work daily
Have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening if required

The hourly rate for this position is $28.00-$33.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
