Job Description
As an Concrete Mason with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support Construction contractors throughout Bradenton, FL and surrounding areas. In this temporary role, you'll earn $20-$30 an hour depending on experience, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform layout and installation of gravity/retaining walls per plans and specifications
- Conduct site preparation, including excavation, grading, and compaction
- Install base materials, block/stone systems, and structural components
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and structural integrity
- Install drainage systems (gravel backfill, pipe, weep systems)
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with crew members to maintain productivity and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Experience in masonry, concrete, or sitework preferred
- Knowledge of retaining wall systems and construction techniques
- Ability to read basic plans, grades, and elevations (skilled roles)
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
- Experience with block, segmental retaining wall (SRW) systems, or poured concrete walls
- Familiarity with compaction equipment and grading tools
- Basic understanding of drainage and soil stabilization
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
The hourly rate for this position is $$20.00-$30.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
