Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Review electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Perform detailed material, equipment, and labor takeoffs for commercial electrical installations.
- Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and proposals for commercial electrical construction projects.
- Estimate electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, devices, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers and purchasing departments to obtain pricing and finalize bids.
- Analyze labor costs, material pricing, project schedules, and potential risks.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and provide estimating support throughout project planning.
- Ensure estimates comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and company requirements.
- Manage multiple estimates while meeting project bidding deadlines.
- Stay current with electrical industry trends, labor factors, and material pricing.

Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Corporate office located in Riverside, CA
Responsibilities
- Previous experience as a Commercial Electrical Estimator.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in electrical quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost estimating.
- Familiarity with electrical estimating software preferred.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and commercial construction practices.
- Strong organizational, mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet bid deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, purchasing teams, and other departments.
The hourly rate for this position is $40 - $60/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
