Job Description

As Electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support electrical contractors throughout Savannah, GA. In this temporary role, you'll earn 22-32 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities

Hours: 5X8's; Monday-Friday, 40+ hours (NIGHT SHIFT 3 pm – 12 am)
Measure, cut, and bend conduit to fit the layout of the building.
Secure conduit to walls, ceilings, or other structural elements using brackets or hangers.
Ensure all conduit runs are aligned, level, and meet building codes and safety standards.
Pull wires or cables through the installed conduit to connect fire alarm devices.
Label and organize wires to ensure proper connections and easy troubleshooting.
Install junction boxes and make wire connections according to electrical codes.
Install and mount fire alarm system components, such as control panels, detectors, and alarms.
Connect conduit runs to electrical panels or other power sources.

Responsibilities

  • Be at least 18+ years of age
  • Understanding electrical systems, circuits, and components.
    Familiarity with fire alarm system wiring and connections.
    Ability to measure, cut, bend, and thread conduit accurately.
    Proficiency in installing various types of conduit (e.g., EMT, RMC, PVC).
    Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
    Understanding building layouts to plan conduit routes efficiently.
    Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (e.g., drills, conduit benders).
    Familiarity with specialty tools like fish tape and cable pullers.
    Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
    Understanding safety protocols for working on fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prior experience in the commercial field required

The hourly rate for this position is $22-32/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
