Job Description

PRST is looking for a qualified experienced professional to assist with the installation of EV (Electric Vehicle) infrastructure. This role involves operating equipment such as mini excavators and trench compactors, as well as performing hands-on tasks to ensure successful project completion. As a Heavy Equipment Operator with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support our customers on potential commercial and residential projects located in Charlotte and surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll earn up between $24-$26 an hour based on your skillset, enjoy weekly pay, and health insurance benefits. You can also earn up to a $1,500 bonus as part of our Respect the Craft tradesperson recognition program! 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating equipment (mini excavators, trench compactors) for light digging and trench preparation.
  • Installing buried electrical conduit.
  • Backfilling and compacting electrical conduit trenches.
  • Installing pipe bollards according to design specifications.
  • Pouring and finishing EV dispenser foundations.
  • Installing EV parking signage.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in equipment operation and light construction, who takes pride in delivering quality work to support clean energy infrastructure.

The hourly rate for this position is $24-$26/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
