Job Description

PRST is seeking skilled and experienced traveling Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. This position reports to the Construction Manager and represents an excellent opportunity to join an active, well-rounded team, gain valuable experience, and advance your career. This is a Temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent hours, weekly pay, and per diem.  Day Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM –5:00PM. Up to 10 hrs. shift daily – Overtime potential

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to operate all- terrain forklift
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order, always
  • Must possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiency
  • Willingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safety
  • Maintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properly
  • Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job site
  • Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
  • Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction
  • Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
  • May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • We tend to stay local to Oregon, but we will move around the state
  • Some out of state work may take place

Responsibilities

  • 18 years or older with valid Right to Work documentation in the U.S.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a all-terrain forklift Operator with a current unexpired certification
  • Travel is required
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening (including THC)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus

The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $34/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
