Job Description
Industrial refrigeration line brazing/welding, need to be able to braze with a 15% brazing rod
Online safety orientation will need to be completed
Working 10 hour days Monday through Friday and 8 hours on Saturday.
TOOLS: Hand tools of the trades. PPE. Welding machines and consumables provided by client
Responsibilities
Brazing - piping systems for HVAC systems using hand tools. Use an Oxyacetylene torch to bind metal and allow for fit ups.
Experience in HVAC repair and installation.
Experience in brazing HVAC/R sealed systems.
Experience in HVAC installation and repair or OEM braze processes
Intimate knowledge of brazing materials, brazing process, and related manufacturing processes.
Seasoned traveling
Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, and magnetos, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools
Weld pipe and pipe assembly components of all kinds, sizes, and alloys, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome,
Weld with various schedules of piping, carbon steel
Inspect and maintain equipment, including changing gauges, repairing hoses
Weld various types of metals
Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, mobile homes, motors and generators, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years industrial combo welding experience
- Possess OSHA 10 construction certification
- Provide recent welding certification
- Reliable transportation
- Required background and drug screening
- Welding various metals using processes
- Checking the fit of pipe or other structural pieces and to allow for proper attachment and to account for shrinkage;
- Welding in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
- The hourly rate for this position is $29/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
