Job Description

Responsibilities
Work Schedule: 5 X 8's
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including split systems, RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, heat pumps, exhaust systems, and building automation systems
- Perform system diagnostics using gauges, multimeters, combustion analyzers, refrigerant recovery systems, and specialized software
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components (motors, relays, contactors, transformers, sensors, and thermostats)
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including filter replacement, belt adjustments, coil cleaning, lubrication, and operational testing
- Calibrate and configure system controls including Direct Digital Control, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems
- Recover and recharge refrigerants according to EPA standards; maintain accurate records per EPA Section 608 compliance
- Collaborate with contractors and engineers, during renovations or new construction projects
- Maintain logs and documentation for service calls, maintenance tasks, and repairs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and PPE requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Journeyman HVAC Technician license or equivalent certification
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Minimum of 4–6 years of commercial, residential or industrial HVAC Technician experience
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and HVAC control systems
- Ability to work from ladders, arial lifts, rooftops, and confined spaces
- Strong understanding of local mechanical codes and OSHA safety regulations
- Have tools of the Trade and bring them to work daily
- Ability to work at least 40 hours a week and overtime if needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
The hourly rate for this position is $28.00-$32.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
