Job Description
- MIG weld carbon/structural steel components.
- TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum.
- Fit, align, tack, and weld architectural handrails and fabricated assemblies.
- Work with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble components to fabrication specifications.
- Read and work from shop drawings, prints, measurements, and fabrication layouts.
- Maintain proper fit-up, alignment, weld profile, and finished appearance.
- Use grinders, saws, welding machines, clamps, squares, measuring tools, and other standard fabrication equipment.
- Inspect completed work for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and overall finish.
- Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Journeyman-level welding/fabrication experience required.
- Strong MIG welding experience with steel.
- Strong TIG welding experience with stainless steel and aluminum.
- Previous fitting and fabrication experience strongly preferred.
- Architectural handrail, railing, ornamental metal, or similar precision fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must understand proper fit-up, joint preparation, measurements, and weld quality.
- Must have required welding PPE and steel-toe boots.
- Must be able to complete and pass a background check prior to the weld test.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to show up ready to work every scheduled shift are required.
The hourly rate for this position is $$26. - $30/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
