Job Description
Responsibilities
- Must be able to pass a 5 Panel Drug Screen and Wear a Respirator if asked to work in confined spaces (Clean Shaven)
- Must have experience working in a shipyard environment
- Read and interpret marine blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fabricate metal and plastic pipes.
- Install brackets, hangers, and supports to secure pipes to bulkheads and decks.
- Join pipe sections using welding, brazing, soldering, or flanged connections.
- Test completed piping networks for leaks and pressure tolerances using gauges and water or air.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cutting torches.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and work in tight, confined spaces.
The hourly rate for this position is $32.00-$35/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
