PeopleReady Skilled Trades is Hiring Journeyman Carpenters
Job Duties:
- Assist framing crews on a new apartment construction project
- Perform blocking installation as required by project specifications
- Install framing straps and connectors
- Build and install wood-framed enclosures
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials accurately
- Read and interpret construction drawings and project plans
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Work efficiently with project supervisors and fellow tradespeople

- Location: Rocklin, CA
- Project: New Apartment Construction
- Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour DOE
- Duration: Temporary Assignment
- Materials and ladders provided by customer
Responsibilities
Requirements:
- E-Verify: Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in varying weather and job site conditions
- Proven experience as a carpenter (minimum 3-5 years preferred)
- Journeyman-level carpentry experience required
- Strong wood framing experience required
- Experience with blocking, installing framing straps, and wood-framed enclosures
- Experience working on commercial, multi-family, or apartment construction projects preferred
- Proficiency in using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Good understanding of construction math, measurements, and layout
- Ability to work safely from ladders and elevated work areas
- Own basic hand tools (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively with project teams
The hourly rate for this position is $35 - $40/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
