Job Description
As a finish & trim carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support carpenter contractors throughout the Memphis, TN area. Job Duties: TEMP-PERM OPPORTUNITY The Custom Finish Carpenter will be responsible for assembling, and installing millwork and wood products according to project specifications. This role will have the carpenter report to the customer's shop and then they will drive their vehicle to the installation jobsite for the day. Candidates need to have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a motor vehicle report. Work requires strong woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with custom designs, unique finishes, and challenging architectural requirements. Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute custom builds. Carpentry Installer will assemble and finish millwork products including cabinetry, furniture, molding, and architectural woodwork. Operate woodworking tools and equipment such as saws, planers, routers, and hand tools. Ensure precision in measurements, joinery, and assembly to meet design intent and quality standards. Perform on-site installation of custom millwork. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship.
Parking: on site at shop, and then will depend on location for installation/field work.
Responsibilities
- Must be 18 year's of age.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have PPE, tools and transportation.
- Proven experience as a finish or trim carpenter.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong measurement and cutting skills to ensure accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills to handle unforeseen issues during installation.
- Excellent attention to detail for a high-quality finish.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
The hourly rate for this position is $$23.00-$26.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
