Job Description
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hrs
- The concrete form carpenter performs various functions in carrying out construction projects using building blueprints and diagrams to ascertain the proper dimensions, shape, and design of a form structure.
The major tasks, duties, and responsibilities commonly assigned to a concrete form carpenter are listed in the job description example below:
Correctly interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to meet clients’ needs
Provide support to concrete foreman with project layout and elevation shooting
Take the measurement and cut materials to build forms for pouring concrete
Responsible for carrying out general construction labor tasks
Provide support with fabrication during projects
Carry out other duties as assigned. - Length of Assignment – 6 months

- Be at least 21+ years of age
- At least 4 years of continuous experience
- Current/Active
- OSHA 10 preferred Certification or a willingness to obtain it
- Read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and local and national building codes
Basic math skills necessary to take accurate measurement of materials needed to construct a form
Responsible for planning the sequence of work from start to finish
Measurements must be précise and have an eye for detail to guarantee that the work is level, plumb, and square.
Should be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds without assistance. - Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the commercial field required
- Prior experience using Power and hand tools for building forms required
- Position may require a drug screen
The hourly rate for this position is $24-28/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
