Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades (PRST) is seeking a motivated Connecticut Licensed Sheet Metal Installer (SM1 or SM2) for a commercial HVAC project in Plainfield, CT.
This project involves the installation of HVAC systems and ductwork in a retail space. The selected candidate will work as part of a professional HVAC team installing and modifying commercial sheet metal systems.
Job Duties Include:
- Installing commercial HVAC ductwork
- Installing and connecting sheet metal components
- Supporting the installation of 8 HVAC systems
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and layouts
- Ensuring all installations meet project specifications and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Position: HVAC Sheet Metal Installer (SM1 or SM2 Licensed)
- Location: Plainfield, CT
- Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Start Time: 6:00 AM
- Project Type: Commercial HVAC Project
- Parking: Available On Site
Responsibilities
- Valid Connecticut SM1 or SM2 Sheet Metal License required
- Previous commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience required
- Experience installing ductwork and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work Monday–Friday starting at 6:00 AM
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

- Standard sheet metal hand tools
Required PPE:
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Work pants
- Steel or composite toe boots

- Please contact the site supervisor upon arrival.

The hourly rate for this position is $50.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
