Responsibilities
Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30 am start, 8hrs/day – OT as needed
Review blueprints to replace drywall in a commercial retail building.
Remove existing damaged drywall and clean work area to prep for new drywall install.
Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific wall sections using a utility knife and a drywall saw.
Position drywall panels against the framing and secure them with screws or nails, ensuring proper spacing and alignment.
Apply joint compound and tape over seams and screws to cover and even the surface.
Sand all joints and surfaces to achieve a smooth finish, removing any high spots or imperfections.
Qualifications & Experience
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial drywall installation.
- Ability to bring your own tools of the trade on site for work.
- Prior experience with measure, cut, hang, tape, and float of drywall is REQUIRED.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position may require a drug screen
- OSHA-10 Certification is a plus, but not required.
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00-$29.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
