Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for an Electrical Journeyman in Brownstown, Michigan. The ideal candidate must be licensed in Michigan and have a least 3 years’ experience with installing conveyors. The right candidate will be able to work on their own in a commercial environment and have electrical tools. Responsibilities
· Demonstrating technical aptitude in installing power supply wiring and conduit, including EMT, Rigid conduit,
MC cable, strut, and cable trays.
· Conducting troubleshooting of electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and
circuits.
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as switchgear, motor controls, electrical panels,
CT cabinets, and conveyor systems.
· Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits using devices like volt/ohm meters to ensure compatibility
and safety.
· Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues with codes.
· Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate
and correct breakdown causes.
· Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- • Must have a Valid Michigan Licensed Journeyman
- • Must have a minimum of OSHA 10 Certification
- • Must be able to past a criminal background (7 years)
- • Minimum of 3 electrical installations of material handling systems.
- • Must be reliable and have available transportation to get to job sites.
- • Must be willing to take direction and work in a team environment.
- • Ability to read blueprints.
- • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- • Skillful use of test meters and diagnostic equipment.
- • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The hourly rate for this position is $45.00-$50.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
