Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking Journeyman Excavator Operator to support a commercial project in the Bulverde area.
Location: Bulverde, TX 78163
Pay: Journeyman $35/hour
Trade: Excavator Operator
Duration: 3-4 weeks
Start: Immediate
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00 am start, 40hrs/wk.

Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Operate a standard Excavator to grade the dirt that is around a pond and ditch.
- Move and level the dirt around the retention ponds and ditches that are located behind a neighborhood using the excavator to create an area for sidewalks to be poured.
- Must have grading experience as well.
- Communicate with other employees to maintain situational awareness when operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Follow federal and state guidelines.
Responsibilities
Pay:
• $35/hr.
• Pay is determined by previous experience.
Qualifications:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Must have 5 years MINIMUM experience with operating an Excavator REQUIRED.
• 5 years MINIMUM of previous experience in grading REQUIRED.
• All experience MUST be 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Must have good situational awareness.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• OSHA-10 Construction Certification is a plus but not required.
The hourly rate for this position is $35.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
