Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of facility maintenance tasks that include a basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. This opportunity will be long term, working with a well known non-profit agency in Taylorsville, UT. Apply below and the area recruiter will reach out with more details.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of HSU property and equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on buildings and facilities.
Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs (HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
Coordinate ground maintenance and vendor negotiations.
Manage cleaning schedules and special projects.
Monitor essential building systems for efficiency.
Prepare maintenance and repair reports.
Participate in safety committees and training.

Responsibilities

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and ability to be insured.
Experience with basic tools for maintenance and repairs.
Ability to read building plans.
OSHA 10-hour training certificate (training can be provided).
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other project management software.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Capability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
Comfort working around animals in a noisy environment.
Flexible work schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
On-call availability for emergent facility issues.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 - 24.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
