Job Description

As a Heavy Equipment Operator with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support contractors in the Pompano Beach and Broward County areas. Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it

Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure good working order

Driving and controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the site

Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as needed

Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notify Supervisor if maintenance is past due

Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste

Complete minor repair work as needed

Responsibilities

Must be at least 18 years of age

Recent previous experience operating a backhoe and/or excavator on job sites

Prior experience using mentioned equipment for moving various types of materials

Ability to follow different types of communication for equipment movement and manuevering

Able to sit, stand, kneel, and otherwise maneuver throughout shift

Possess reliable transportation to and from the job site on a daily basis

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
