Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install, fabricate, and modify residential HVAC duct systems (flex, sheet metal, and duct board)
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and mechanical plans
- Measure, cut, seal, and secure ductwork to meet code and performance standards
- Ensure proper airflow, system balance, and energy efficiency
- Assist with HVAC equipment set-ups as needed (air handlers, furnaces, registers, grilles)
- Seal ducts using mastic, tape, and insulation per code requirements
- Identify and resolve installation issues on-site
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC ductwork installation experience
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and airflow principles
- Ability to fabricate and install ductwork accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with local mechanical codes and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and job specifications
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Certification (Type I or Universal)
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- HVAC trade school or apprenticeship background
- Experience with new construction and retrofits
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
