Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Ductwork Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience installing, modifying, and repairing duct systems in residential homes. This role is suited for dependable, detail-oriented HVAC professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and can work independently or as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, fabricate, and modify residential HVAC duct systems (flex, sheet metal, and duct board)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and mechanical plans
  • Measure, cut, seal, and secure ductwork to meet code and performance standards
  • Ensure proper airflow, system balance, and energy efficiency
  • Assist with HVAC equipment set-ups as needed (air handlers, furnaces, registers, grilles)
  • Seal ducts using mastic, tape, and insulation per code requirements
  • Identify and resolve installation issues on-site
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC ductwork installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and airflow principles
  • Ability to fabricate and install ductwork accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with local mechanical codes and safety regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints and job specifications
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA Certification (Type I or Universal)
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience
  • HVAC trade school or apprenticeship background
  • Experience with new construction and retrofits

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
