Location: Apple Grove, WV
Pay: $25–$40/hour, depending on experience
Per Diem: $750/week offered for qualified travelers
Experience Level: Apprentices and Journeymen
Certification Required: EPA 608 Certification
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking experienced HVAC Installers and Technicians for projects in the Applegrove, WV area. We are hiring both apprentice-level and journeyman-level HVAC professionals with experience in installation, service, troubleshooting, and system startup.
Responsibilities
As an HVAC Installer/Technician, you may be responsible for:
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues in HVAC systems
- Performing preventive maintenance, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels
- Safely recovering and handling refrigerants
- Performing emergency repairs and recommending system upgrades when needed
- Reading blueprints and CAD drawings to plan system layout and placement
- Assembling and mounting air handlers, furnaces, condensing units, thermostats, and related equipment
- Running refrigerant lines and connecting gas, water, and electrical components
- Testing systems for leaks and completing initial startup to ensure proper performance
- Following local building codes, jobsite safety standards, and company procedures

Requirements
- EPA 608 Certification required
- OSHA 10 required
- Must be able to pass a Tier 1 background check
- Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Previous HVAC installation or service technician experience required
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
- Experience with refrigerant lines, pipefitting, wiring, and system startup
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and airflow systems
- Physical stamina and ability to work in different jobsite conditions
- Must have reliable transportation and basic HVAC tools

The hourly rate for this position is $25-$40/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
