Sheet Metal Supervisor

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of sheet metal workers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Plan and schedule project work while ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Oversee the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Train and mentor team members in techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in the sheet metal trade, with 2+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining sheet metal tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA standards (OSHA 10 preferred).
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with a team.
  • Reliable transportation and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
Additional Requirements:
  • Tools of the trade and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) are required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check may be required.

The hourly rate for this position is $35-$42/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
