Job Description

PRST is hiring an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to lead installation crews on commercial and residential HVAC projects throughout the Cordova, TN area. We're looking for a hands-on leader who knows the trade, can read plans, direct a crew, and deliver quality installations safely and efficiently. This is not a helper position. We need a lead installer who can take ownership of a project from layout to startup while maintaining high workmanship standards. HOURS: 5 x 8's

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on commercial and residential projects
Install complete HVAC systems, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, package units, mini-splits, and ventilation equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation plans
Install sheet metal ductwork, flex duct, refrigerant piping, condensate drains, gas piping, and equipment supports
Perform equipment change-outs, new construction installations, and retrofit projects
Complete system startups, testing, commissioning, and performance verification
Ensure proper refrigerant charging and airflow balancing
Maintain compliance with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and OSHA safety standards
Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, supervisors, and other trades
Mentor and train apprentice and junior HVAC installers
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite

Responsibilities

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be eligible to work in the United States
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation/construction experience
Knowledge of various HVAC systems used in light commercial applications
Understanding of HVAC construction phases and installation processes
Ability to read and understand blueprints and mechanical plans
Skilled in welding, soldering, pipefitting, and fuel gas connections
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable climbing ladders and working from lifts
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Able to complete and pass pre-employment checks to work in commercial and residential settings.

The hourly rate for this position is $$38. - $42./hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
