PRST is hiring a JM Precision Millwright for a new Cement Manufacturing Plant being built in East Houston. As an experienced Precision Millwright with PRST, you’ll support a General Contractor located in Houston, TX. In this role, you’ll earn $38 an hour and enjoy weekly pay and health insurance benefits. Responsibilities
· Meticulously read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand each piece of equipment’s layout, component placement, and alignment specifications.
· Use precision tools such as laser levels, tape measures, theodolites, and level to ensure proper alignment and placement
· Carefully install parts such as bearings, belt, pulleys, chutes, buckets, grinding media (like steel rods or balls), mill shells, and support structures.
· Collaborate with operators of cranes, hoists, forklifts, and jacks to move large parts and position for placement.
· Perform Stick welding for components needing to be welded together.
· Ensure all bolts, nuts, and other fasteners are tightened to the correct torque specifications using torque wrenches.
· Perform vibration analysis to identify and correct any potential issues that could cause vibrations or damage to the mills.
· The millwright would ensure all work is performed according to safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- • Be at least 21 years of age
- • MUST have a valid drivers license
- • Minimum 5 years previous experience as a Precision Millwright
- • Experience MUST be verifiable with contactable references as well.
- • Prior experience installing mills, conveyors, grinders, mills, coke mills and kilns REQUIRED.
- • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
- • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- • MUST have all of their own tools and ability to bring them on-site. – TOOL LIST AVAILABLE AT PRE-SCREEN CALL
- • Your own transportation to get to and from work.
- • Position does require a drug screen.
The hourly rate for this position is $38.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
