Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking Journeyman Commercial Pipefitter to support a large commercial project in the Webster area.
Location: Webster, TX 77058
Pay: Journeyman $28-$32/hour
Trade: Commercial Pipefitter
Duration: 60+ days
Start: Immediate
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 am start, 40hrs/wk., OT is as needed only, estimated 1-10hrs/wk.

Job Duties:
- Study blueprints/schematics, and plan pipe routes for rough-in.
- Rough-in phase, installing both underground/infrastructure and wall piping, drainage, and vents.
- Cut, bend, and thread PVC, PEX, and Copper pipes to required specifications using various tools. Must be able to solder Copper.
- Perform pressure tests (hydrostatic), check for leaks, and inspect systems for functionality and safety.
- Make necessary modifications to accommodate unforeseen conditions along with any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site

Depending on years of experience
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- OSHA-10 Certification REQUIRED
- 4 years verifiable experience doing commercial pipefitting.
- 4 years verifiable experience working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, and Copper pipe Required.
- Must be comfortable working out of manlifts and scissor lifts
- Must be comfortable with soldering copper pipes
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position does REQUIRE a drug screen
- Position does REQUIRE a background check
The hourly rate for this position is $28-$32/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
